Subject: Searching for Bum Bag / Fanny Pack Prop ?

Does anyone know if there's one of these around anywhere ? I'm not 100 % sure just what you folks in Yankee Land call them, but here down Under we just call them Bum bags - those little pouches on a belt you strap around your waist ?

Don't know if this will help but Runtime DNA has one tied to a stick. It's the last item on the first page of their free stuff. You have to be registered to access it.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Oh yes, I believe those are called "fanny packs" here in the USofA. That's probably what he (she?) is looking for.

OK.. Let me know if this one is what you're looking for and I'll zip it up for you. I slapped a quickie camouflage texture on it, but you can use any tex you want, it is UVMapped. It's a prop, and right now it fits M3. With a little scaling/repositioning I guess it can fit virtually any character. It can also be rotated if you prefer it to be on the backside :o) And best of all: It's FREE ;o)

It's an odd language, ours. It's Bum Bag in the UK too, the American version sounds vaguely obscene. But then again apparently you guys wouldn't eat a pasty....

"It's Bum Bag in the UK too, the American version sounds vaguely obscene" And Bum Bag doesn't? :D Sorry, I just found that funny.

kewl...now if you could find a fanny pak texture large enough to paste on Trekkie's prop, you'd have it made!

unzipped - "Fanny" means "Vagina" in the UK.

Thank you all for your help. TrekkieGrrrl's one is just perfect for what I was after. As to what figure it was for, I'm not really sure, as the char I wanted to 'wear' it is a composite one - CCD'S Centaur. Not sure what figure was used for the 'human' part.

I have clear memories of my sister's American pen pal coming over here to England and asking for a 'fanny pack' in a crowded department store - my god, there were a few shocked faces! They are also called hip-pouches or security pouches.
