electroglyph - sorry to ask such an obvious question, but have you tried ungrouping and then re-grouping the object? It helps too, if you're having problems, to delete the ground plane, move all cameras well out of the way, and do a marquee selection to be sure to be sure, then group. If you've already grouped everything, then I can't think of anything else to suggest :o|
I've tried grouping and ungrouping but since I can use dxf and obj formats as well I never gave it much thought. On the same note I could not use any of the Helmets by Pakled in 3ds from the traugs site directly in Bryce. Every time I tried to open them no object was created. If I import and then export from poser however the 3ds objects are fine in Bryce.
It can sometimes be version conflict. File formats like software can have versions. Bryce can only import older versions of lightwave files, but not newer ones, etc, etc. Some formats import no matter what their version (.cob) (so far) AS

I know I'm always banging on about UnWrap3d.....but it is such a useful program for converting files from one file-type to another. It imports/exports an ENORMOUS number of file-types. Don't you just love small cheap programs that are efficient :o)And; Some 3ds files import "exploded", lol. Some .obj's need an accompaning .mtl file, some don't.

The mtl doesn't even have to have info in it. I've made blank .txt files, and changed the file extension to .mtl, as long as the prefix is the same as the obj, you're good to go. AS

I made a model and textured it and brought both the texture template and the model into Bryce5, saved it as an OBP....well, now I can't find the original obj file(or maybe it was a 3ds) for the frickin' thing and Bryce refuses to let me export the model as anything other than an OBP, which I don't want, UNLESS, I've missed something about exporting models that have been previously imported into Bryce....so it is doomed forever to be an obp? :( Any and all help appreciated......
