I hope someone has an answer as to why I'm getting THIS message whenever I try to go into the shader room. (See graphic) I also was getting it whenever I tried to open files or create a new file. Then I re-booted and re-started C, only to get this message again when going into the shader room. HELP!

You are in Carrara 2 on a Mac? Then I had the same experience. I could only help it by upgrading. Otherwise go to the Yahoo Carrara list and maybe someone there can help!

Well yes, I have got this message many times and with no particular logic to it. I use Win98 and C3; after no problems, it just suddenly started happening. I suggest you do a clean install of C with the latest update.

If you get something like that in OS X, you can check for any hardware problems, and look for bad software that installs .kext files (like Norton). Repair permissions, run Diskwarrior.

You should trash the prefs file too- before anything else. You never know! Markd

I get that error when I have a DCG plugin installed. I haven't isolated which one, though. www.shonner.com
