Subject: Poser 5 cloth room problems

I'm having problems in the cloth room. I get everything set up. I click on calculate simulation. My program freezes up. It doesn't freeze at the same spot every time. Sometimes it goes throuh the draping phase and then freezes. But 90% for the time it freezes on frames 5 through 8. Does anyone know a solution to this problem. I'm running a 2.16 ghz processor with 1 gig of ram.

Not enough information. Is the object composed of single sided polys? Is it one that comes with P5 or a custom one? What settings do you have for the simulation? What is it colliding against? processor and ram information is actually extraneous. must have more data -- need data. Data good. Data = Knowledge. Knoweldge = Power. Power = world domination. World domination = um, well, something...

I'm using svdl dynamic clothing frames set at 30 draping set at 10 frames collide against figure 1 ignore head collision checked I'm new to poser 5 and trying to learn it. So I don't know that much about it.

Have you seen the cloth room tutorials at PoserFashion.net? There are instructions on how to use dynamic clothing with the free dynamic dresses in their Poser 5 section. Most dynamic clothing is set up so that it "fits" if your figure is zeroed. If you start with a figure that's not in the zeroed pose, or one that has been morphed from the default, the clothing may intersect the figure (even a tiny bit, where you can't see it). That may cause the problem you describe.
