Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 10 10:34 am)
To bend the knee, select the foot and move that upwards. Since the figures are IK-chained, you'll need to select the bone that's at the end of the IK-chain. If you move that part the rest will move too. Once you've got your rough positioning, you can fine tune every other part (like shin, tigh and so) through the parameter dials. Do this through the last 3 dials of transform, twist & side-side & bend. If you don't see the parameter dials menu, selct it through the window menu.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....

If you are making a completely new figure then you will need to make it in a 3d app like 3dsmax. Making a figure is a complex subject and would be very difficult to explain everything here. Search for poser 5 tutorials on the internet, you will find some. Stewer has a lot of good information about poser 5 at his site at the link. When you load a character into Poser IK (Inverse Kinematics) for the legs will be set on. This means that the feet will be "glued" to the floor. From the menu bar near the top of the screen go to the 'Figure' menu, select 'Use Inverse Kinematics' un-tick the legs (or feet), the legs will now move normally.

Hello,
I have been playing around with poser for I think 2 weeks, or somthin like that, I got started then got sidetracked heh...
Anyway, I was wanting to know, how do you ben the knees?
I know thats a funny question lol. I find that sometimes I can do it, whilst other times I can not. I try and pay attention to what I do when I sucssesfully bend the knees, for example, setting with leg crossed the other leg, that is simple, did it once, but can't figure out how to do it again, kinda funy huh.
Ok, Now I was wanting to know if there was a way to create a house, like 4 bed one bath for poser, I want to play around with animation, but need some good props, you can sudgest some, but I would l I also have 3ds Max 6. I havn't started messing with that yet. I have a feeling thats where I am ganna have to go to make a houseike them to be free..
Last one I prommise :0br>
How, does one make there own char, I mean from head to toe. I have figured out how to use the head room, but thats just the head, how do I make the rest of the body? again I think I am ganna have to go to 3DS max again.
Also are there some tuts out there that telles you how to get the most out of Poser (5)? I have tryed to read the manual, but I am a visual learner, I can read the manual till I turn blue and wont understand some of the stuff it talks about. Thank you for your guidance :0)
