Subject: gradients

im new to flames and i am using {apophysis 2 and all my gradients are pastel shades if possible i would like to use some vibrant colours but have no idea how to create the vibrant colours i have seen used in other flames any help would be appreciated thanks in advance kepp

Hi Kepp, I have a tutorial on how to make your own gradients. Try and find brightly coloured pictures to make your gradients. Also experiment with the saturation button within the gradient dialogue box. Pastels can be turned into quite vivid colours. Within my tutorial is a link to Elizabeth Tomcheks page. Elizabeth has kindly made available free gradients for download. Hope this helps. Fran

I have found the photographs from the Hubble space telescope to be a valuable source of richly coloured gradients ......
