Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 09 4:28 pm)
The memorypatch may not be enough. From your version # it seems you haven't installed SP3 for Pro Pack. Try it and see if it helps :o) You can get the windowsversion HERE (9.95Mb)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Install poser - Install Large Memory Patch - Install Pro Pack. In that order. I am running Windows 2000 Pro + SP4, 1.5 GB DDR333, and an nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128 MB, 8X AGP. I have antialiasing set to 4X (for now), cause of Daz Studio. I have NO problems with any of the Poser programs (P4, PP, P5), Carrara Studio 3, or any other CGI app.
Poser does not use any of the nVidia antialias settings. Make just a profile with application controlled antialias and see if that helps. I don't have Pro Pack, but have no problems running P4 or P5. I have an nVidia GeForce 5600 FX with 128MB on Windows 2000 and had 1 GB of ram before one stick of ram tested bad and kept crashing my machine. Waiting for the replacement from the manufacturer. Also, what nVidia driver version are you using. There is a new one out, but I have not installed it as they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix is". I am still using "5663"

I got a problem that until today could not find out a solution. Having 1,5Gb Ram I did install the Memory Pacht for Poser. After that for no reason at all every time I open PoserProPack 4.0.2 it lowers the graphic card Colour Quality to 8-bits(when default is 32-bits)and I have to set back to 32-bits while Poser is open to operate in 32-bits. The renderings it makes shows me in some kind of noise 8-bits! Final results when I open the render in other software is normal but not when showing me in PPP. Can't fix it just if I take off one stick Ram and lowers to 1GB the memory! Any smart solution here here? Please tell me!
