Subject: Clearing out unused shader nodes in P5? (Okham? Ajax?)

Does anyone have a script, pose file or utility that can clean out all those annoying leftover nodes in the Material room and reset diffuse and specular back to their default settings? THanks, Shogakusha

Netherworks has a "Poser 5 Reset MAT Script" which is available at his site, or in free stuff here (search for reset should find it). There's also a couple of materials available (from the MalePoser site as I recall) which will do the same job on individual materials, and set them to either white or transparent.

... a search in free stuff here for "maleposer" will find the material files too.

You're welcome.

Out of curiosity couldn't this also be done by making a library preset of the default PoserSurface settings, and then just applying that to any object or figure to clean things up? Or did you mean something more complex, like putting each particular figure back to its own default settings?

You could indeed make a material file from default settings, and apply it to any material. That's effectively what the "maleposer" materials I referred to do. The search incidentally is not to the materials but to some poses which reset the nodes for various characters (sorry). The beauty of Netherworks script is that you can use it to effect all the materials in any figure or prop (as long as there's at least one figure loaded in the scene). Works brilliantly, and almost instantaneously.

Ohhh ok, that would be more efficient, thanks for your answer, I'll have to go hunt that thing down.
