Although " " works well enough, it can make your text difficult to edit afterward. To make text look cleaner, you can instead use the
and
tags. "Pre" stands for preformatted. Give it a try! In the beginning there was absolutely nothing. No voters, politicians, or pollsters. Life was good when there was nothing. Only after some ungrateful caveman started playing out in a thunderstorm did we get fire. From there it was all downhill.
Ok, it goes way beyond stupid, but you
get the point. The beauty of this method is
that you don't need to use that annoying
everwhere.

Posting a text here (or anywhere else on the net), ruins my manuscript format. Tabs dont work; multiple spaces are omitted. Is there a way to start every new paragraph with an indentation? Maybe an HTML tag? I hate writing huge blocky paragraphs, especially when it comes to dialogue. However, short paragraphs are problematic: Due to the lack of indentations, you cant tell a linebreak from a new paragraph, unless you insert a blank line after each paragraph. But then the text has more holes than a swiss cheese. Do I have to put up with this or is there a solution?
