Any idea how to create a muzzle flash light in an Poser 5 animation? Not the fire itself (it seems to be best to do it in a compositing tool)but a light wich lightens up the face and scene everytime the trigger is pulled. Thanks

Well, I've never done a muzzle flash in an animation but I have simply used a real flash in post. It could be possible to add the flash in post production frame by frame. Bit of a pain but it should work.

Couldn't you just parent a spotlight at the end of the gun? Then where ever the gun points, so does the spotlight. Then you could set the colors and even include a shadow You would probably have to manually set the intensity for each frame of the animation though.

I have had success with lasers and plasma-swords using a cylinder with transparency edges and ambient color and translucent color.

If the frame rate is 30 fps or less, then you only need one frame with muzzle flash. Do the entire animation without flash, then replace the single critical frame with one that is positionally identical, but now with a cluster of 6 spotlights and Tony's flash prop or whatever.
