hi guys. what's going on around here? weird thing happening. someone makes comment on my image. it's there. 5 minutes later it's gone. 30 minutes later it's back...then it's gone again. IM...says i have 2 messages...but there's only one there. i log out...it doesn't show me as logged out. i can't log off at all. earlier today i could, but after i logged off, it showed me as still logged in. then when i would go to photography forum, it would tell me i had to log in. now i can't log out at all, comments are missing, IM messed up. either counter is wrong or i have missing messages. Anybody...any clues????

hmmm... took a look at the community center forum... nothing posted there about funny happenings... sorry sheila... don't know... but that would be a good place to ask to get a better response sitewide... maybe they're tinkering in the backroom?

ok...i'll go there and check it out. this is bizzare! I'm getting ready to ask that person who left comment if he left it, deleted it, and then rewrote it, then deleted it again. doubt it...ok thanks girl!

Ok...this is bizzare. look at this cindy...I go to my gallery...says i have 20 comments. there's only 15 there. Is this happening with anyone else's gallery. oh yeah. remember i said IM counter said i had 2 messages? well i deleted one...then the other one popped up. it had been completely hidden. this is freaky!!!

ok...now it's getting weirder...those IM i deleted...they keep coming back. I delete them, they go. I refresh page, they're back, delete them, etc. can this day get any nuttier? ok...get this...kemal and i are on network. he does not have ANY of these problems... comments all there. IM go away when he deletes. he is able to log in and out. i'll let you know when i find something out.

you clear your cache? temporary files?

hi cindy. kemal said that won't do it. he said what you suggested will only help temporarily. i dunno. anyway, he figured it out. here's what we did... --went to temporary internet files --clicked on settings --then where it says "check for newer version of stored pages"...well that was set at "never." --this "never" setting means computer won't check for newer of updated page. don't ask me what any of this means...but anyway, now everything's working. i was going out of my mind!!!!!!! i hate not knowing things like this!!! thanks for help!!!! sheila

Glad you got it figured out Shelia :) Another thing you might want to do if that happens again - "Log out" of Renderosity [don't just leave the site, but actually log-out of the site], clear out your Renderosity cookies - clear your cache [as you did], restart your computer and log back onto Renderosity. If you are still having problems, check your the time and date of your clock. As to the ebots sending two messages that someone had posted two comment and only viewing one. This can result from someone posting a comment - and deleting the comment [perhaps they saw a typo, or wanted to add additional text] and reposted their comment. That would make the ebots send you 2 different notifications :) I did notice that when posting comments to galleries today, that the comments were acting rather wonky - not showing up at first and re-showing up later. I suspect that the programmers "may" be doing some site updates. Dee-Marie

Positive that the programmers are working on the site - as I just got a squel error message - this is a sure sign that the programmers are doing updates - So, put on a hat and quit pulling at your hair - everything should be returning to normal shortly :)
