Since no one brings up Rain in Poser. Maybe I can get someones attention. Looking for a Splashed Rain drop obj file, or if someone could make one. I am unable to make one in poser, so I could add in this Pic (Couple of em). Made this in Poser, no postwork. Although still needs adjustments.

Check Forester's store in the RMP. She has a zillion "water splash" props. Which of course can also be used for any liquid, with the proper materials applied.

Robo2010 you might want to take a look at Ripple Rain. It's designed for animation but I think you can probably use the generated maps for stills. I couldn't fain a way to use it with Poser 4 but with Poser 5's texture options it may work. It's included in the untitled image utilities on the download page. I get a plugin error on their page but it loaded when I clicked the messages away.

I've used Kerlin's Ripple Rain myself -- a plugin for trueSpace. There's a feature that will create an object as well as all of the bump maps. That could be imported into Poser I think. The rain comes down in layered planes and the software also creates a horizontal plane mapped with rippled bumps. Pretty cool. Thing is you'd have to point your camera directly into the object to make it work correctly. Best Wishes, Rance

I was hoping to do something like this. I guess I will work on this as well. I will find a way.

You might be able to do that with Forester's splash props. One of her sets contains four of those splash rings, which are that succession you show. Probably with some scaling they would work for animation.

Robo2010, Ripple Rain creates nothing like the drop above. Geometry is limited to planes holding the trans and bump maps and one horizontal plane holding the bump map. It DOES time things out so that when a drop hits the horizontal the rippled bump is generated at that moment from that spot. It's pretty neat but may not be what you are looking for. Best Wishes, Rance
