THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Seeking help on a personal matter

scoleman123 ( ) posted Sat, 08 January 2005 at 10:07 PM · edited Tue, 30 July 2024 at 7:31 PM

About two years ago a friend of mine whom I would have died for moved away with out notice. Ever since then, I cannot keep this person off my mind. I am 15 and have limited resources. Therefore, I ask a favor of you, anyone that may help in locating this person. IM me if you would like to help. The best to all, Steven

scoleman - the best advice anyone can give you is to forget him or her. I know you don't want to hear this, but he/she might not want to be in contact with you. It sounds like you have other problems in your life, and you've focussed on this because you're lonely. What happens if you track this person down, and you get rejected, or find that the other person can't be bothered staying in touch with you? At fifteen you should have lots of other friends, and if you don't have them at school, then you need to identify what your interests are, find a club or a night-class for people with similar interests, and join that. This all sounds very harsh, but at the moment you're heading towards being hurt. You need to protect yourself, not set yourself up for being rejected.

I as well would lean towards what Pog said. There's really very little we can do to help you anyway. This is a 3D forum. shrug

Meant to ask - did Rayraz ever find the location? It was a different setup with Rayraz, though. My guess was that he was in contact with the person, but (wisely!)wanted to check if she was who she claimed she was. off on a slightly-connected tangent - anyone see that Malcolm in the Middle episode where the eldest brother gets good advice about how to get free plane tickets? ROTFL

Scoleman, you have the best tool for locating people right in front of you. A pc, connected to the internet. Try sites like "friends united"...puts loads of people back together. Or even google for names or known nicknames, person may have a website, which would react. I had an instance like this, a longtime friend I had lost touch with googled for my maiden surname, found my brothers site, He phoned me for an OK and then passed my addy on to said friend, now we are back in touch after an interval of 10 years.

I tried a site like this a while ago. I was looking for a friend who was the best man at my wedding and I'd been out of touch for 18 years. Within 22hours I had his snailmail and 2 days later I got a phone call from him!

I've met loads of family through genesconnected. It's a UK site, but there must be others out there. Even got in touch with a branch of kin that left the UK for Canada back in the early 20th Century. The Internet rocks for this kind of thing, but only if the person wants to be found.

Meant to ask - did Rayraz ever find the location? It was a different setup with Rayraz, though. My guess was that he was in contact with the person, but (wisely!)wanted to check if she was who she claimed she was. Never found the exact location. Everyone I asked to help who lived in that area and said they could actually find it out for me suddenly stopped replying to me, not only about this thing, but they stopped talking to me all together even! :| So I'm thinking it probably was an adress of some royal palace or of a local sexshop or something else real silly like that... The girl stood me up on meeting me on two occations in a row though, those were meetings she had been promising me for 2 months and 9 months!! She also hardly got online to chat with me anymore and refused to give her phonenumber and gave a bullshit explaination for that. So I dumped her... I guess it's her loss though, I would've done anything for her, but she blew it so now she gets nothing, except for maybe getting kicked off my property if she ever shows up at the door. I'm not letting no bitch fuck me like that. Scoleman, Facepic.com and Hi5.com are some other sites where people can have themselves registered. Also if you know his/her family name, and even better, his/her mom's or dad's initials you can search in phoneguides and such online. Also I can try to see if any e-mail adresses will pop up under his/her name or his/her parent(s) name(s).

Yea it is lol but they're both posibilities which will make people think I was making a really bad joke. I threw in the whorehouse 'cause of the exploitation going on in asia and the royal palace 'cause she started bs-ing about being the daughter of a brittish royal prince rolls eyes and she couldn't give her phonenumber 'cause of that 'cause the line wasn't clear. yeah... riiiiight! (that was the thing that made me get serious doubts)

Rayraz was pretty wise to check up on her. She mightn't even have been a woman!!!! I saw a creepy real-life case (I'm one of those sad people who watch programs like The Forensic Detectives) where a young student disappeared, he'd gone to meet a beautiful girl he'd fallen in love with on the internet. Blah blah blah, to cut a long story short 'she' was a he, who murdered the student. By the time police caught up with 'her' he was already in the middle of several other online romances. I don't think they ever even found out WHY he killed the poor student.

yea, my imposter started out looking very real. Only after being with her for 8 months things started getting a little fishy :| I sure learned my lesson... you can NEVER be sure who people on the net are untill you meet them in real life, but that is exactly the risk behind it all. I thought I could figure it out, but these people are very skilled at what they do. They won't tell any conflicting stories whatsoever, only they just really slowly build things up to gain your full trust. And that is exactly the dangerous part, because once you trust them, it will be easier for them to make you believe some of their lies. Only afterwards when you find out they're fake you see how stupid you were to actually believe some of the things they said!

By now our poor Rayraz might have been kidnapped and working in a brothel if he hadn't checked up :^(

Rayraz ( ) posted Tue, 11 January 2005 at 10:26 AM

eeeew! :| I defenitely won't go working in a brothel, no-one's gunna use me and live to tell the tale. I'm not that easy to kidnap though luckily :P I got offered jobs in that kinda business before actually LOL but I'd emd up being exploited and never seeing a penny if I accepted those :P oh and I was usually also 2 boobs and some other female bodyparts short of the right equipment :P I don't think it would've been that serious really, I'd just have been waiting for a girlfriend that would never actually show up.
