Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 26 2:05 pm)
sure! after you set your aspect ratio, tick the Constrain box. THEN go to edit (at top toolbar), general preferences, tick launch to preferred state, then click the set to preferred state button in that window. Now when you open your POSER the winder will be set at the size you last selected. HOWEVER. I have noticed that even when ticking the constrain aspect ratio thingy, when you resize the document window it has a 1-3 variance of being exact accurate. Nothing that has ever been enough to notice in the render, but ..... I hope I didnt misunderstand your Q.........
Maybe I wasn't clear, but thanks. It's not that easy. Saving to prefered state means the window comes up at the right aspect ratio all right when opening Poser -- but the constrained box is now unchecked. So resizing the window with the mouse now upsets the aspect ratio and the box has to be re-checked. How do I constrain it permanently? is the question.

Ive asked this before, but nobody had an answer. Maybe there isnt one. Maybe Ill be lucky. In Poser 4 I like to maintain a 4:3 window aspect ratio, e.g. 320 by 240. This can be done via WindowDocument Window Size and checking the box Constrain Aspect Ratio. But it doesnt stick once the file is closed. Every time I open Poser, or open an existing file, or even Revert within a file, the box is unchecked. This loses a lot of time. Is there a way to set aspect ratio for good?
