download the vue4pro demo, you create trees and plants the same way in vue5 + the new features of course. theres of course a price difference so that has a say in what you end up using but i would go with vue5Infinite once its out, or if that is out of reach vue5 esprit, with that said, theres nothing wrong with bryce and its slightly more affordable so its your decision in the end :) Onyx and xfrog is of course 2 other options, which is both focusing more on the plants part then anything else, then again in my opinion you would still need either bryce or vue to compliment them. Anyway, my choice for a complete landscape and render app would be at this point vue5Infinite.

OnyxTREE 6 SuperBundle ..... only $495.00 (regular $695.00) ...... SPECIAL!!!.... Check the link above for more info about Onyx. It does produce some really nice trees and yes it does run on Mac. 8) Drac...? Rendering in paint????? That is treasonous. ;)There are 10 kinds of people: Those who know binary, and those who don't.

Well most say that Vue trees are better. I'd have to agree. I have both Vue 4 and Bryce 5, and the trunk and limb structure looks a lot better in Vue to me. Xfrog is an awesome program, its what I use. It's interface is really odd and most don't care for it though. I've never used OnyxTree, but everyone that I've talked to says it's a very user friendly interface. You catch on right away. It also comes at a much higher price too. I believe you can download a free trial of Xfrog. That might be something worth doing. Also check out their gallery for examples. www.Xfrog.com

Don't forget this one if you're into free stuff. :D Runs a little slow (Java based), but has a great deal of flexibility.Your friendly neighborhood Wings3D nut.

I am new to Bryce and was wondering if Bryce 5 or Vue 5 Esprit, is the best app for creating realistic trees? I know this is the Bryce forum, but I am looking for comments from people who have used both.
Which is the easiest to learn?
