Hi! New to bryce and i downloaded the Rustic bridge object and when i went to import it, its not showing up in the folder O.o Its in OBP file, i put it in my ''presets, objects, installed'' folder but it doesnt show..anything i've downloaded from the free section wont show..Any help would be much appreciated as to where to put them and how to get them to import.. Thanks in advance.

hi To import this I think you will have to go to file import object. You can then save it to your presets if you want to.

ahh see the problem is i cant even see the object when i go to import it, its an obp file..is there a certain preference i need to set to recognize them?

Hi Serena; Hit "create" and then import the object...

Yah i tried that too..for some reason anything i download wont show up when i try to import it, I highlight the file in the folder outside of B5 and it says ''bryce 5 object preset'' and i tried renaming it to obj but that didnt work either..hmmmm

ok here's two screen shots i did, one shows it in the file outside of b5 and the other shows what happens when i go to import.

Have you had success importing other OBP files? It may be worth trying another. If that works, then maybe there is something wrong with the OBP. If it fails, then maybe your version of Bryce isn't compatible? Is this Chohole's Bridge? I've tried it and imported it without a problem.

artbyphil when importing obp files into bryce 5 don't try and do it with file/import object it won't work. to import an obp file you need to go into create/user library, click on import and then highlight the obp file you want to import into the library. Only files you use file/import object are ones like .obj, .3ds, .DXF or anyother listed in there. You can only import them on to your work screen then you have to save them from there.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

Ha, My mistake I missread the question, I thought it was a normal obj file the problem was with.
