Hi all... Well, you may have recently noticed the following in red letters above your gallery pages: "NEW: Child Image Guidelines" There is a new change to the TOS concerning Child nudity. While this may not affect most of us here, I am merely informing you of this change. If you are concerned about the red lettered link above your gallery, don't worry. It will only be there for a short while, so that we make sure that everyone knows about this change. Thanks, Nick

It's just 'Rosity covering it's @ss in a legal sense. I'm sure all the Poser people are shaking in there boots tho....

Do you mean by 'Poser people' Poser users or Poser characters? If the latter, they are always shaking in their boots because they are rarely wearing much more. Children will be the best dressed Poser characters now. (I am new here, have yet to see a naked fractal, or maybe they all are?)

@Qualien, You got my meaning either way, lol. This all comes about because of Poser images and people who try to do images that are somewhat risqu I'm very happy about the crackdown myself. Even someone who puts a sexual or violent warning on a fractal image as a gag just to draw views I ignore. It has no place in the fractal community.

@kimpe,
I agree with you. Maybe that is part of the appeal of abstract images as opposed to representational ones. It is nice to get away not only from the nudity and sexually oriented content but also the OT political opinions which some people cannot seem to resist posting these days.

And thanks for responding to my post. Makes me feel welcome here. I got interested in fractals because I saw some of Diane603's in the gallery and they awed me. I do spend most of my time in the Poser and 3D/Carrara modeling forums, but I have fallen in love with Apophysis!

You're very welcome Qualien. The fractal community here is the most helpful and friendly. I'm glad Diane603 inspired you.

"and one cannot be careful and protective enough towards children." Or in this case, give of the pretense of being protective of children. As I have never heard any good argument for the banning of nudity following the admission of overt violent material that doesn't lean onto the ick-factor, religious beliefs or "bumper-sticker slogans" (non of wich are persuasive), I'm inclined to agree with Kimpe. If I did manage to create a fractal picturing child nudity (wich would be quite a feat), you can rest assure I won't upload it here. :)

Well, I've uploaded a "nude" fractal just now, but I like to think it's tastefully done. ;-) I valiantly resisted the urge to put it under "pin-ups".
