Textures/scale @ terrain/res thats right, content wise, no middle ground, Eagle and puma are off focused, maybe use a Golden Eagle, head and neck golden yellow to ochre, longer shadows on the background arroyos how about a foreground with a grey cast to the stone hope it helps I'd like to see it complete R
Mike, in my opinion, the main problem of the image is the composition. The three subjects are all off-centre and partially cut. Also, the two fighting subjects are on the same level, and this subtracts dynamicity. And the nest is not connected visually to the action. I would start with repositioning the elements first. You may have two solutions: 1- put nest in the foreground. Puma in the background, obliquely oriented, so that it is clear that it is heading towards the nest (and the viewer). The mother eagle in the middle ground, coming from one side aggressively into the field of view. 2- put puma in the foreground, seen from the back but oblique, so taht also a part of the face is shown. The nest in the background, along an ideal line created by puma's eyes. Mother eagle coming from above, aggressively, towards the puma (and the viewer). I think that once you fix the composition problem, the other details like texturing will become less important.
