Have heard very indirectly from a source that Vue 3.5 or Vue 4, probably via its Mover function, but not sure, will support the Poser Pro-Pack functions that would allow Poser animation inside a future release of Vue. Don't ask me how I know this...

Hey FM How do you know this? ;) WoW Vue 3.5 or Vue 4.....well, I didn't know e-on was planning to release Version 3.5, I was under the impression they were going to release V4 though. If the rumour is true....it sounds good. But I was hoping more for better mapping and exporting/importing of poser models etc into Vue. I guess only time will tell. But thanks for the heads up :) Sacred

A 3ds and obj to vob batch converter would be nice :) I just looked the other day, and low and behold, I have well over 10,000 models in various formats on my hard drive. Without a batch converter, I expect to have converted them all to vob format in 4 or 5 years. :o -SMT

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

Some of the New Pro-Pack Features, as they apply currently to Lightwave and 3DMAX... The Pro Pack plug-ins allow you to host Poser files directly within Discreets 3D Studio Max and Newteks LightWave. Unlike importing or exporting functions that translate data from one format to another, the Pro Pack plug-ins serve as a liaison between the host application and the Poser files, actually opening your Poser files and accessing their contents directly in the host application. This allows you to take advantage of Posers speed, ease of use and ready to go content and combine your Poser files with the host applications powerful modeling, rendering, and animation capabilities. Poser files hosted within 3D Studio Max or LightWave retain all of their data including materials, articulation, textures, keyframes, etc. Poser scene files are treated as primitives and can be manipulated within the host application as you would any other primitive. You may, however, need to open the Poser file within Poser itself depending on the actions you wish to perform. For example, if you want to articulate the figure directly or change any keyframe values, you will need to do this in Poser. ******************************************************* Whether it is called VUE 4, or a special VUE 3.5 Release, E-On Software is not a stranger to plug-ins- they already make a very popular Plug-In for Lightwave and MOVER is itself a VUE Plug-In. It is a matter of either making Pro-Pack fit the Mover plug-In format or creating a new plug-in format where VUE can support Pro-Pack...

78$$ shipping???? did you try the other shipping options? i know when i ordered daz's calendar, the shipping was set to like 28$ international overnight air by default, and you hadda change it to a more sane shipping method when you ordered it. that was odd ;) anyway, i thought the manual was all online/on-cd in htm format??

There is a shipping chart list over at CLAB. I remember reading that there is also a hardcopy manual beside the electronic version. Shipping to some other places even cost more like USD103.00....yikes! For the Calendar, shipping here is only USD5.00 Bill

If ya got the time, and got the dime, here's 4.7 MB of Offical Pro-Pack Manual info for download... Should answer a lot of questions before you buy it. Also, I have found that its the countries where stuff is sent to that jack-up the shipping costs. The UPS and FedEX charges actually hide big VAT taxes that countries make these shippers charge as part of the charge...

I also think that Curiouslabs shipping cost is too heavy for Canada(54$).It depends how, where, etc is their distribution center.Curious consumer service explain me correctly but the shipping cost was not changed. Finally , Daz3d was a better solution for me Fox-mulder:you are nice to try to help us.Thanks.

Hi Martial- I ordered my Pro-Pack from Daz also. They can ship in the U.S. via Priority Mail, a very cheap rate (the same basically as First Class but delivered in about 3 days) Daz also gives you a $20 gift certificate, so it is a pretty good deal... It is too bad that as two big next door neighbors sharing a gigantic undefended border that shipping to Canada from the U.S. is actually the same cost as shipping to Japan... (from my experience). This seems to be based upon some type of international agreement for shipping postal items. I know too that in Europe VAT is very high and the European Union makes sure it gets collected...
