Can Bryce mix materials like Vue can? For example, the user would use a material map that splits one material into two materials.

you can build textures from up to 4 components. Bryce doesn't have a node-based texture system like mojoworld (and VueInfinite too probably?) have.

So in this manner, the answer is yes, it can mix up to four materials. If they are all procedurals, they will have three "inputs" apiece, so a total of 12 different inputs... Usually it's enough to get the procedural job done, although there are some limitations the only real limitation is your patience and imagination...

hes asking for the three button solution were a and b materials are mixed acording to the greyscale in c.

But Bryce will not 'split' one material into two separate mats unless, the one was comprised of 2-3 channels to begin with, you can make one mat by using two different channels.
