DeepPaint 2 is actually a bit newer than DeepPaint3D, DeepPaint 1 was released in 1999 as the standalone cq photoshop-plugin version of the DP3D paintengine with the 3D bits removed. DeepPaint 2 was released in 2003 and instead of being a big step up, it felt more like a jump down, clunky interface, hard to get at options and the behaviour of the PShop plugin is a bit too haphazard to be of much use. I went back to using DP1 after a few weeks.
The best thing about the free DP2 is that people who bought the program in the past, no longer have to fight RH-support to get a working serial# after reinstalling the program.

If anyone is interetsed. I wrote most of the tutorials on Right Hemisphere's website for the first Deep Paint which I loved. they can be used with the second version also. They are all on my website in the article index in the tutorial section. I thought this might be helpful. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
