Subject: Lighting Question

Greetings: I have been messing around with different lighting schemes in hopes of finding my own answer to this, but alas I must seek help from you experts again. Is there anyway to create an object and have light radiating outward from within the object? Something like a comet, either a semi-transparent sphere or cylinder with the light source inside radiating in all directions. Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated. Anna

A comet doesn't put out any light, it is illuminated by the sun. It's just highly reflective. But no, you can't do point light sources in poser. You could put in a couple of lights to simulate it, however. Might work depending on what you are trying to achieve. But if you really need to do this you might want to try a program with a better renderer.

I've used a spotlight inside of a mostly transparent object before, turned in the general direction that you want the light source to be coming from. Seems to work ok. Also, you can use multiple spotlights inside the object with higher reflective values.
