Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 14 7:46 am)
Probably Norton is the culprit. Very invasive. No easy way to uninstall, it's probably best to reformat your system and install WinXP from the ground up. For security it's probably best to use a dedicated hardware router. A cable or DSL router these days is cheap, has an integrated firewall, and since they run under some Unix variant, they're not vulnerable to attacks on Windows systems. Another possibility - how old is your BIOS? Older BIOSes may not like drives larger than 137 GB. I run WinXP Pro SP2, no firewall or virus protection, behind a dedicated NAT router/firewall/virus checker. Poser 6 runs fine and fast. 300 GB disk fully usable.

Hello friends, I placed my hard drive (a 80gb western digital) with 200gb Seagate Barracuda. My current Windows XP can't see the whole space and I installed Windows XP SP2. And after that my Poser 6 doesn't worked. It starts normally but closing suddenly when I try to do something (anything). I was using sp2 before too - but I guess it is different than XP with SP2 ? Any ideas, suggestions ? Is a patch available ? I am asking because I don't have much time to surf on the net. All the best... Kerem
