Hmmm.... i'm just learning Poser 6 and no expert - but: In the backroom there was a recommendation (but an old one) to change all imported highlights to white. When i recently looked at an imported PZ3 of "Jessie HiRez", the eyes, in the Material Editor they indeed had black highlights. If your black spot were changed to the color of your light source, would it make sense as a highlight?

Hi, well one corneal looks fine (and this is even in the material editor) but the little preview pic of the other cornea has a big black spot across half of the little pic in the material editor, and of course also in the render. It's so weird. Love esther

Yes, weird :o) Did you try reloading it into Vue?

of course - with different mat pose too - it must be some sort of file corruption but it's happened to me lots of times, love esther

Sorry, no ideas here. As you indicate, it can't very well be simple file corruption if it happens multiple times in the same place. File corruption should be rare and random.

Okay, I'll wait and see if anyone else has experienced this odd black eye problem. Love esther

There is a negative value in the highlight intensity. Change to a positive value the black spot is fixed. The problem is caused by advanced P5/P6 features that Vue5 not support. Mazak

AWSOME FIX THANKS SO FREAKING MUCH I have exactly the same issue with Denise from DM, not on any other texture so far - not that there is anything wrong with Densie she renders like the most stunning texture ever in global lighting in Vue but this negative highlight value comes through - thanks again for finding the problem I will go redner her now. I have always fixed it by surgically removing this part of the eye not a good idea- and Rhiannon's textures all have to have their cornea redone too, I will look for this type of issue. Thanks again.
