I think I need to paint them out on the template but for the life of me I can't see where they are to get rid of them. Can some kind soul please help me ? I will give you my first born child ...oh wait! ya don't want him, he's 30 now and I ain't planning on another one so how about ya help me, I manage to achieve this Herculean feat and I'll give ya your choice of one character from my store ? Geeze! this is driving me crazy!!! Kym

we're just on our way out to the store, but my hubby (who uses ZBrush a little) asked what it is you're trying to do with V3...for example, are you doing a morph, or doing a displacement map, etc...we'll check in when we get back...if you have no answer by then, he'll see what he can come up with for you...should be about 2 hrs...though I hope you get your answer before that, I know how it is when something's driving you crazy...Karen :D

Say what you mean and mean what you say.

I do not know how to eliminate them from the mesh but, I assume they are "in the way" in Zbrush. You can hit "Lashes long" in negative -5.00..guessing? And then export it to ZB. Reduces them quite a bit. At least this way you can change your mind later.

ah, sounds like a good approach richardson...if this doesn't work KymJ, IM me and will see what hubby can come up with... :D Karen

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Pee on it and walk away

Found another way :) which made thigs real easy for me. Saved the head as an obj. Loaded into UVMapper n deleted everything but the head material area, then saved the model. When I loaded it into ZB lashes had gone, as well as all the overlapping mat zones (was using jessi n there are alot:) ) Job done John.

hmm...I looked at the tut link that Chris posted and there was no mention of UV Mapper. I just "dialled" the lashes away and exported as a .obj, opened it up in Zbrush and bingo! no lashes ... Maybe I was just not seeing the forest for the trees...I'm very good at doing that LOL. Oh well, onward and upward now. Haven't tried Jessi yet but if I can morph her a decent face I'll be happy as a sandboy..er..sandgirl :) A steep learning curve indeed...

Here's an easy way to do it. Load your head, then go to tools, polygroups, hit the autogroup button. Then hold down CTL+SHIFT and click anywhere on the head, the eyelashes, eyebrows, teeth disappear. You can then go to geometry, hit the delete hidden button and they will be gone. If you want to keep the hidden bits, don't delete them, just hold CTL+SHIFT and click on an empty part of the screen and they will reappear.

There are a lot of things worse than dying, being afraid all the time would be one.
