Hello. I'm very new at Apophysis, one month, and have a couple questions. Some people have suggested PSP. Could someone please tell me what it is? Also, how do you know what to put in the gallery? Sometimes what I think are good pieces turn out to be not so good pieces and the pieces that I think are alright, people like. It's all very confusing. LOL I really do appreciate the comments people leave. It is very helpful. Thank you. Sincerly, Lisa

Hi Lisa and welcome! PSP is Paint Shop Pro, a paint program similiar in some ways to Photoshop, but much less pricey. Many people use it to do postwork on their images. I use it to resize and sharpen some of my Ultra Fractal images, which means that I'm probably not getting my money's worth out of the program. lol I like what you have posted in your gallery, so my suggestion would be to just keep doing what you're doing. :) Comments and helpful hints are great, but they are all subjective. Happy fractaling! Stephanie

To save much more money, you can download these really freeware graphic software. http://www.xnview.com/ . or: http://www.irfanview.com/ . or: http://www.gimp.org/ . All the best, Jos

Hi and welcome! Irfanview is a great freeware and it's simple to use. I use it to resize, color enhancement, titles, borders and slide shows. I find it difficult to predict what will be liked, so I post images that I like. Everyone here has been very kind and helpful, I'm sure that you will find a lot of people who can help with what ever you need to know. Also go to the free stuff section here and look for the fractal section. There are several starter flames there that is a big help to get started. Good luck, Patti (AAA aka Apophysis Art Addict)

Lisa, I looked at your art and I think all of them are wonderful in their own right. It is all in the eye of the beholder. You are doing a wonderful job. I would say they look better than mine. They are wonderfully crisp and clear and such wonderful shapes and colors too. You put up what you love and if those who do not like it well they just won't. The most important point for me is that others enjoy my work. It is not about the top 20 images for me. Just let me encourage you to continue to put up your images and let us enjoy them. Beth
