Subject: Importing Poser scenes into Daz Studio

Orestes ( ) posted Tue, 22 November 2005 at 12:41 PM · edited Wed, 04 December 2024 at 8:52 PM

I've been using Daz Studio as a way yo quickly import Poser Figures into Bryce 5.5. I set up the scenes in Poser 6, and iport the pz3 in Daz Studio. I find however that morphs arn't loaded, although the dials are still set to what I had in Poser. I found I could fix this by reINJecting the morphs for figures like V3-M3, but what about figures with there morphs a part of them such as the Mil Dog or horse or such? There dials show vaules but the figure looks like its unmorphed. Anyone found a cause for this or a way to work around it? Thanks. -David

In Poser, Edit>General preferences>Miscellaneous tab and turn off Use external binary morph targets. You'll need to resave your scenes under a new name to force Poser to embed the morphs in the Pz3/PZZ file.

Thanks! That fixed it, I never would have thought of that. Thanks again!

At first D|S was reading the external morph targets, but something in the Poser service releases seems to have changed the way they work or are formatted. I have a bug report in on it.
