He find it in a pig pin and he fix it up. he use it in his art . I hopeing to take some photos of it for he put it up in his attic. Which he say there no room to move now for all the juck up there. do any one think it worth trying to shoot a landscape shot

We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Jocko, I would love to see a picture of that camera if that is possible! Wow. I am impressed with what the old timers "with the stuff" were able to do. Richard's link shows an amazing image from a large camera lifted by kites. The amaziing part is using KITES to lift the camera! The wind must have been just right! I wouldn't put my camera dangled from a kite for anything! Thanks for the post. This is interesting thread. Even large view cameras bewilder me...not so much the camera as the willingness to lug it around and set up for the single shot. Tom.

That what I was asking on how hard it was tt o get it out side to take a photo of the land. He say i do not understand . it comes in parts and it must bee put together. I willing to do this and pay for the film he uses and to get it develope. he say it takes real good shots but that up close. I like to see how it shots far. Even if it just to shot out his window or off his back yard. He told me he use it to take photos of his art. For now it is put away I think he say in his attic. I not sure. I like to take photos of the camera and get the name of it. I do have a pick up truck so i can load it up in the back of the truck. TomDart I too love old cameras. I used one of the 8x10 cameras that was on a tripod. The photos did not come out good. I had to use a light meter and all. I just took two photos with it and had it for a halve of day. They tell me you can shot a building and it will not have the distortions like the 35mm cameras have

Jocko, those old view cameras have adjustments to angle the lens, etc. It would take much more than half a day to learn to use one! I wish you success on getting a pic of the old camera. I am amazed at what folks have stuffed away in their hiding places. Got to get some zzzzzzzzzzz's now. Tom.
