Subject: Problems with Content Paradise

I don't know if you can help me here or not, but I have reached the end of my patience with Content Paradise. I bought something from the marketplace here, Wild Leather Set by Pretty 3D through Content Paradise. When I went to download it, I got this error: Error: Cannot Open Product File. Ensure the 'Path to Digital Product Files' is correct and proper file permissions are set. I have contacted Content Paradise staff repeatedly and all they do is reset the same bad link. I got my other things, OH! And they keep resetting other purchases, but this one I cannot get, and can't seem to get that through to them since they seem to not want to discuss it with me at all. I've tried everything, clearing my cache and all my browser settings but nothing seems to work. All my other purchases of that day downloaded just fine. Just not this one. Is there anything you can do to help? If you need a screen shot of the error I have one, I didn't want to post it with all the information in the address bar though. :) Thanks! Laura

Hi Laura, Do you have an order id#? I can try to help, but not sure if there is much I can do since it was purchased through Content Paradise, but I will give it a try if you can give me an order #. Deb

DEBBIE!!! :D A real live person that responds...I learned my lesson!! No more content parasite for me! That has quite a bit of information in the address bar from Renderosity. Thanks so much---I've been trying to get them to talk to me about this since Sunday and no one has bothered. Hey Laura, Exactly what I assumed :( That order # doesn't match up to anything on your account here at Renderosity. As much as I would love to be able to help, CP is the one that will have to reset your download since it was purchased through them. I'm real sorry, but our hands are tied in this one. If there is anything that you need reset from us, I'll be more than happy to help you with that, but there isn't anything I can do with this one. Deb

Wow---thanks for trying. I guess I can buy it again. I think you might have been looking for the info in the status bar like this: purchaseid=927773%0A Not that its gonna do any good. I don't know how to make them listen to me over there. I've tried and tried and tried---I can't seem to make them give a ****. But you were a doll for trying!!! :D And I have definitely learned my lesson with CP---never again unless its something I can't get any where else. What a pack of...never mind. :D Laura

I am really sorry about that Laura. Have you tried contacting Mary over there?? She's the one that does that sort of thing if I'm not mistaken. May be worth a last shot before repurchasing it. I really hate to see you do that. Deb

Yeah, I've tried that. I sent her a Private Message, posted 3 items in the Help Forum for Passport members, and used the contact form more times than I can count. I am now demanding my money back on that one purchase. It's not doing me any good the way it is. So I'll end up buying it again one way or another. The textures I bought for it aren't doing me any good just sitting there. SIGH... You are an absolute angel though---and I don't use that term lightly. I'm rather fond of angels... :):) Well, off to purchase it again. :( Laura
