They aren't "turning off". Poser 6 is weird and only will preview a total of 8 lights. So if you have more than that on the little globe, the lights show as almost black in the pose room. Though they do render ok.Before I apply any lights now I go to Python and "Utilities" and delete all lights, then apply the new set. If you are using lights meant for Poser 4 or Poser 5, you will have dark, almost black previews in the pose window.
I had such trouble that someone pointed me to RDNA where others complained about the same issue last summer. I was so beside myself that Olivier was kind enough to do up a tutorial for me to explain IBL and give me some templates. You can find the tutorial here:

"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi

Has anybody ever run across this problem in P6? I was setting up an image, then I started adjusting my light setup and then they all turned off. I tried to reload another preset light but, they where turned off as well. "What happened, what did I do? Other then reverting the image, how do you turn the lights back on?
