Subject: P6 Materials into Bryce?

Shadowrogue ( ) posted Thu, 09 February 2006 at 8:59 PM ยท edited Wed, 27 November 2024 at 5:17 AM

Is it possible to export P6 materials from the materials lab into Bryce? I'm guessing the answer is no, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. :)

Thanks!

Procedurals won't translate directly. However, it's possible to apply materials to a flat plane, render that, and then save the results for use as a texture map in Bryce.

  • which loses the P6 specularity, bump, etc. The answer is no, not only for Bryce but also for Vue.

Okay, thanks for the confirmation. I figured that was the case. I'll try rendering to a flat plane in P6, minus the specularity and bump, and then see if I can add the specularity and bump to the new texture map in Bryce. Would be a great way around the problem. :) Thanks!!!
