Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
I just figured this out yesterday. when you wanna use a 3ds model in poser, I beleive that the best way is to import it into poser as a 3ds, then export it to a .obj inside poser. then reimport the model as a obj. Then you still have to assign the map, but it will save as a obj. I had problems using export to obj inside 'max; I got goobers. But poser exports to obj just fine, uvw is preserved too, and "conform to" function is enabled. yea, don't try to keep it as a 3ds format, wave front ojs are the way to go in poser. Hope it works for ya Clodhopper

I have been working in 3DS and importing my new models into poser and finding that none of my textures are showing up on my new objects. I am able to assign colors, lights and almost anything else in poser. Is there something I am missing in 3DS or poser as in an export/import pluggin? Do I need to convert the new 3DS model? Any advice would be very helpful. Thank you in advance. 8)
