Here comes Valeri-P4s "lighter" sister, Valeri-LO.

Image hosting by Photobucket

Image hosting by Photobucket

She was made by combining Pitklads NEA head with the V2 Reduced Resolution body.
Shes double encoded, so you need Posette and V2RR to decode her. (Standard V2 will NOT work)

She takes V2 textures and can wear V2 clothes. You can inject all of NEAs head morphs, as well as use all of V2RRs body morphs.

Many thanks to Planit3D.com for hosting her, and to Pitklad for remapping her new neck.

You can download her at the attached link.

Thanks for looking,

Hmm kinda reminds me of the new Galactic'a starbuck character. (Well, in her undies.. LOL!)

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Man, your renders are always so nice! Thanks for the figure. Very good one for me... It is cool that you are doing this stuff that maximizes the Figure Library. Nea in V2 clothes is great. Thank you.

She looks pretty cool. Just out of curiosity: what's her total poly count?

Nice model :) ... you was working in a ValeriV3, nah? Whats up about this?

"Just out of curiosity: what's her total poly count?"

Valeri LO is:
20850 faces
41575 edges
20863 vertices

compared to

30177 faces
61713 edges
33627 vertices
for the standard V-2

BTW, ValerisP4s lack of separate teeth and lacrimals compensates somewhat for her original V2 body, so shes still considerably lighter than V-2:

21704 faces
43018 edges
21440 vertices

Finally Valeri-V3 will be the heaviest, but still a lot lighter than original V-3:

42938 faces
89413 edges
48245 vertices

A combination of NEAs head and V-3RR would have been even lighter, but as the standard V-3 s free, everyone who owns Posette can also have Valeri-V3. :-)

Thanks stahlratte!
I must say this is the hybrid I love the most! The most clothes I have are for V2!
The Valeri-V3 will be ready as soon as I can!
Sorry for keeping you back...

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity

No problem, Pitklad. Without your help none of the Valeris would be as good as they are. :-)

@Casette, unfortunately she still has to be encoded against V3, too. Makes not much sense as V3 is now free, but OTOH I think shes worth it, isnt she ? ;-P

What do you think ? Shall I add this facemorph as a default head ?

With this type of hybrid,do we use V2 or Posette's poses?

Many thanks for the kind words. I will include that face then. @logansfury: The head geometry used is NEA, so if you transfer the facemorph DIRECTLY to Posette, it would cause texture stretching. But if I understood right, Pitklad works on a new NEA head that takes Posette textures, so you could use THAT head and then transfer the morph to use it with Posette (or ValeriP4). To transfer that face over to NEAena, NeJa, or ValeriLO, just use morphmanager. The texture used is "Goddess" for V2 by zrincx but its not more available. But some of the newer zrinxc textures have freckles too, and could be converted with UTC for use with V2. (Or ValeriLO and V3) @arrow1: ValeriLO takes V2 poses and MATS, while ValeriV3 takes V2 MATS and V3 poses. Only for face (expression) poses, you have to use Posette or NEA poses. @momodot: Just six simple lights in ProPack. REALLY nothing special or sophisticated. :-) stahlratte

It must be the magic touch then :)

logansfury ( ) posted Sat, 18 February 2006 at 8:09 PM

Goddess from DAZ you say? Ive had used and loved that texture for a long time!! In this "Era of V3" I still can find few chars more beautiful to my eye than Victoria 1 Brooke character and the Goddess texture, topped off with San Fran Cisco hair! Now Goddess is for V1 correct? The real Victoria 1 isnt "foward compatable" in mapping, but Victoria 2 is backwards compatable and can take her own V2 maps as well as V1 maps, including the Goddess texture, and this is why Valeri can take em, cause she has V2 mapping? "The head geometry used is NEA, so if you transfer the facemorph DIRECTLY to Posette, it would cause texture stretching. But if I understood right, Pitklad works on a new NEA head that takes Posette textures, so you could use THAT head and then transfer the morph to use it with Posette (or ValeriP4)." If this means a simple two step process can get Posette and ValeriP4 using this exquisite face, then PLEASE alert us when Pitklad's work is complete :) The team of designers and modellers and hosts that has been bringing this all together is really doing the communtiy a huge service. These new hybrids and older character items are fantastic. Big Thanks to all of you!

Have decoded the Valeri-LO and she opens up OK in Poser 6.I have transferred the morphs but the body morphs do not seem to work! The face injects OK! and all expressions etc work fine. What have I done wrong?

@logansfury: Yes, all V1/V2 textures will work for both Valer-LO as well as Valeri-V3. And because I regrouped Valeri V3, even the V2-MATS work, so you can change textures with one click. @arrow1: I just tested Valeri-LO (again), and the bodymorphs transferred fine with MorphManager. Are you sure you used the Victoria 2 Lo Res.cr2, and not Victoria 2.cr2 ? Both have completely different geometry, so their morphs are not interchangeable. stahlratte

logansfury ( ) posted Sat, 18 February 2006 at 8:59 PM

Say is that face in a transferrable form already? Can it be applied to NEA at this time, and then exported from NEA to Posette with MorphManager? Love to play with it if its already avail!

Thanks for the poly counts! It's amazing what can be done with just 20k polys.

I thought I had had V2 RR as I have blMilWomLo.obj.But it seems that the cr2 I have is V2 LE P4.Did I hear you are working on a Valeri_LO V3 version? I definitely have V3 RR.If so, is it far away?

"I definitely have V3 RR.If so, is it far away?" Unfortunately, yes. I used standard V-3 because shes free. And many people bought V-2, and V2 LoRes at least WAS free, so those two were no problem either. And while V3 and V3RR LOOK similar, their geometry is completely different, so this means that Id have to do a new hybrid neck. And a new neck means also a new remapping of that neck, and thats something I cant do alone, and I dont wantto ask Pitklad for a FOURTH remap after he already helped me with the three other Valeris. :-) (At least not untill hes finished working on his new Domus and NEAP4. LOL) stahlratte

xantor ( ) posted Mon, 20 February 2006 at 2:43 PM

When you make a hybrid figure, do you "remake" the figure and add the neck or is there another way to add the neck, and how do you keep the grouping and morphs for the cr2?

stahlratte ( ) posted Mon, 20 February 2006 at 4:59 PM

I export the body without neck and head of the body-donor. You can export from Poser with the groups intact. Then export the head of the head donor, and then each of both donors necks. Both necks are cut apart in Wings3D and then rebuilt into a new, single neck. This neck is then reshaped so that everything is smooth again. The cutting and welding usually messes up the UV-mapping, so the new neck has to be remapped afterwards. Then I rebuild the object in Poser from the parts I exported: The head, the body, and my new neck I made in Wings. I export everthing again to get a new, single object, and hack the body donors cr2 to point to that new object. Then finally the neck, head and eye joint parameters have to be readjusted to match the new head, and the correct head and eye morphs or morph-channels have to be transfered from the head-donors cr2 with MorphManager. stahlratte
