Subject: PSP 9 Problems...

UKmac ( ) posted Sun, 05 March 2006 at 2:32 AM · edited Thu, 15 August 2024 at 5:39 AM

Has anyone had this problem in PSP 9? After working on a .tif file and saving it and then try to open a raw file (canon .crw file) in PSP 9 the shot is dark and will not exposure adjust. The only way to cure is to close PSP and re-open it. I got so fed up with happening I've started using Rawshooter to convert the raw files. It will intresting to see if anyone else has this problem. All I can think is that something else you installed, or a procedure has corrupted opening crw for you, now you should uninstall PSP and reinstall it. Something similar happened to me with Photoshop Elements 3. Fixed when I reinstalled.

Nikki, re-installed already twice, and it is registered. But I will try again as it's been a week since last install. I've only just noticed it because I've only just started working in tif format, I use to work with .psp format, but the files just got to big. Thanks Steve

I cant answer your problem Im afraid, but I think that RAW shooter is a better conversion program than PSP9 I know that adds to your work flow, but the you have more control over the RAW However I only ever used the trial version of PSP9 and didnt like the RAW converter, maybe it has been improved since.

No its a mystery to me if re-install does not work maybe its a profile thats got corrupted Raw Shooter is best for sure and the new Premium version 2006 is even better and a free 14 day fully functional download Not free like essentials 2005 but worth the money compared to other expensive options.

Thanks all, Danob, Rawshooter Essentials 2006 is now free, not much different than 2005.
