Subject: Getting Down and Dirty

I need a not-too-difficult way of making the skin of the Unimesh characters look kind of dirty and grungy. I have poser 6 and PSP 7 (as well as the Gimp), so any tutorials for applying dirt and grime to textures would be great. If there are ways to do this via the materials room, I'd appreciate suggestions there, too. Guy

lo, just turn AO up too high! like to 2.0, you'll have all the dirt you'd want in the crevices.

You could apply something like a cloud filter using appropriate grime colours to the textures in PSP or you could maybe use a colour math node set to muliply in the material connected to something like the clouds node. That's what I did in the attached picture, the render is underneath the nodes layout.
