What on Earth?.......... ?????????? Have fun guessing :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

WOW! It was just a wild guess, I thought I was miles off ;-) In fact I didn't really want to get it right, because I don't have any pictures like this, and I haven't got a cam to make 'em... Then I thought: Hey, I do have a built-in cam on my iMac comp, why don't I try to make something with that. Can't get a high quality macro with it, but this is just for fun, so, appologies for the lack of quality, but here you go!! What On Earth is this???

Well done Geert - any camera will take an image - good to see you using your resourcefulness and skills to use what you have. It is a great image - I havn't got a clue what it is though! Not until someone comes along and says what it is then it will be "Oh Yes I can see it now" :D

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

girsempa ( ) posted Sun, 26 March 2006 at 4:13 PM

No, not a G5 tower... I'm not sure if it's a very common object, but I use it often!

Well, maybe I'm one of the very few who uses this object, for all I know ;-) In that case, this collection of other views may help identify this 'thing'...

Wow, tough one. It looks kind of like the dial from a range-top stove, but looking at the back, I can't see where it would attach. Some sort of wireless antenna? Hrmmmmm...

We do call 'em paprikas out here: red paprika, green paprika, yellow paprika. In Turkey, they do wonderful things with the green variety: they remove the seeds and fill them up with some mixture of broken rice, vegetables, mutton meat and spices and then cook 'em. Delicious!! It's called 'dolma', maybe you can find the recipy by Googling.
