Subject: tell me about displacement?

what does it do?

what would i put into it?

can one be made in paint?

how is it different from the bump?

Displacement map can be made in any paint program. The aim of it is to displace the geometries of the object you are applying it. Bump maps are only displacing the surfaces but the border will remain unchanged. You can fin a more precise explanation in the DazStudio Artist guide on page 117 and 118.
