Subject: Scratched Wacom Tablet

The tablet part of my Wacom Intuous 3 has got scratched and worn in 2 places, due to continuous use, any ideas what I can do as I really can't afford to buy a new one right now.

Your welcome. I'm sure if you shop around at wacom dealers you could find it. I did notice the 6 x 8 was out of stock and of course that is probably the one you needed. That must be the most used size.

I just found out that a clear thin sheet of plastic film taped over the top of the pad works a treat, and a lot cheaper too. It now works a treat :)

LOL...yes, that's all it is, a thin peice of plastic. In fact, only used when copying photos and images as tracings. I'm sure that would do until you can get your hands on a regular. Who know's, you might not want to anymore.

The question's moot now and I'm sure you've thought of it already, but could you have simply turned the old one over?

Hmm, turning it over? that's an idea.... thing is I've got a Wacom Intuous 3, the drawing pad is set inside the tablet and not loose, but if anybody knows if you can safely prize it out without damaging the whole thing, I'd be glad to hear about it.

The plastic cover is only held in place by double-sided tape, I replaced my one a few weeks ago without any problem.
