-I don't know if this is the exact source of the problem, but...Bryce lights that have the "cast shadows" turned off can have the effect of the light traveling through objects. They can also sometimes do this also if in the skylab, the "sun/moon shadow intensity" is not turned up high enough.
-Also, as a generic fyi; With volumetric lights, in the Light Lab, under the Render Options, it is usually best to have the "visible object" turned on, no matter if it is surface or volume, (yet obvioulsly if you want the light to look volumetric, it is usually best to also go with that) and, the Infinite Light option turned on. This will help the light rays travel farther.
Don't know if any of that relates...lol.

I'm working on a project, and had problems with the first version- I had several omni lights in the scene, but could not get any volumetric lights to be visible. I thought it was because the omni lights were causing the problem, but stripping them out of the scene didn't help. I removed one thing at a time from the scene, to find that an omni that was transcending a fixed plane was the culprit. I was never aware that there was this anomoly in Bryce?
