Subject: newest apo

I installed the newest Apo' on the block and export renderer opens and when I select render the dos window shows then disappears. I showed it the correct path. I uninstalled everything and started over but still export will not work

It took a bit of time but the solution is quite simple :) (I have Apophysis 2.04jf build 002) 1) The first problem is the path to the export renderer. Make sure there are no white spaces (and probably any other special characters) in the path. Best is to copy all of the Apo's files to a simple named directory (for example c:Apophysis) and set paths to this directory (at least for the export renderer). Probably there is some error in the code, so when the path is for example "c:Program FilesApophysis 2.02hqi.exe" you will get an error message (in that dos window that disappears so fast) that "C:Program" is not an executable program. So avoid any white spaces in the path. 2) The second problem was buffer-depth value in the export window. I had to choose anything except "32-bit float". Maybe you'll have to try what will work for you.

Apophysis Z+ has about 7 extra variations added to it... any flame using any of these new variations will not work correctly in other versions of Apophysis - because they do not have the new variations coded into them...

As for the flam3 rendering problem (export) - you need to have the flam3render.exe file located in a directory that contains no spaces... try doing the following...

  1. Make a folder on your hard drive called "C:flam3"
  2. Copy the "flam3render.exe" file to the new "C:flam3" folder
  3. In the Apo Options - change the Export Renderer path to "C:flam3flam3render.exe

Then again - you may not be able to render flames made with the Z+ version under Flam3 either - because Flam3 hasn't been updated to be able to process the new variations in Apo Z+...

Only simple solution for rendering flames made in Apo Z+ is to use the internal renderer.
