I dunno if one hasta tag damn or dammit, but I see no reason to use 'em, or any other curses, so it wouldn't come up in my regard. p.s. miz, I like that guy, but I dunno who it is. hate to seem like a total simpleton, but I know I've seen that face somewhere - just can't place it.

Ok, that's what I thought, too.

I'm a bit curious though. At the moment, the only gallery on my own site is a link to my Rosity gallery, so naturally that doesn't contain any porn. But say I wanted to also link to my RaunchyMinds gallery, would that mean I couldn't have a link to my site here then? After all, you would STILL need to

a) Go to Raunchyminds
b) be a member, and log in there

to see those pictures.

So it would require quite a bit of consent, as far as I can see it.

So would that be against the rules?

That's my boy James 1 with Faceroom and Massive Morphs, and I can assure you JS2, he's completely Nekkided!  :blushing:

However he is not displaying any genitals. If that is the requirement, the flag should more accurately be called the "Genitals" Flag and not the Nudity Flag. But as I said, I rarely post anything using the current flags. Now if you had an "Annoying As Hell Flag" I'd have to flag all of my posts since I apparently annoy everyone all the time no matter what I do! :cursing:

Jumpstartme2 ( ) posted Wed, 27 September 2006 at 5:51 PM

He might be totally nekkid in the full blown image, but in this thread he is not, so no nudity flag is needed here. {and Im not pickin on ya, I just wanted to show that image and flag as an example} 😉

And as for a flag for annoying..I would have to wear one on my forehead so no worries LOL!

ernyoka1,

Again, as long as the link you have posted here does not go directly to a site that has age restricted content, then you are fine. If on your site there is a link to RaunchyMinds, we have no control over what someone is subjected to, or what they click on, once they leave here and arrive at your site, and then go from there via links to elsewhere...

Hope I worded that right LOL! 😉

@Miz and DP, those advisory flags for what you just posted are what we are talking about....clearly there is no nudity in the image posted by Miz..and altho Im not sure about the words 'boot to the head' would or would not require a violence tag, but certainly not a language tag....
This is what we are referring to when we ask members not to use the advisory tags inappropriately..it renders the whole system useless.

I was calling upon Mizrael to repent, (ie for posting a verbally violently discriptive scene without the prior warning of the violence tag), which is in essence a RELIGIOUS statement, and which some might find offensive -therefore I consider the language tag to be very appropriate.

Me too, but the current western zeitgeist is that an exposed nipple on TV is shocking, but any number of murders per evening is just fine.

Also, not all violence involves spouting blood. Presumably a scene of a couple of boxers or wrestlers counts as violence?

Content Advisory! This message contains profanity, violence

Maybe it's just my prurient mind, but I found the Hannibal Licter 2 movie unbearable (the one where he eats the guy's brains), while Girls Gone Wild #8 was just boring (after the first hour).
Is there something wrong with me, or is this basically normal?

In the dutch language (which is my native ) there are at least 50-100 different words for a certain male bodypart which I cannot name without setting the language flag, there are about the same amount of words for a certain female bodypart which I also cannot name, and I think there are more than 200 words for a social activity between two person of the opposite . . .  (fill in the dots and check the language flag). A lot of these words have other, normal meanings which can safely be used in common sentences which won't offend anyone... a property that since a very long time eagerly has been used by comedians to make dirty jokes. And I suppose it won't be different in any other language, I heard that the french are experts in these. What my point is, that it doesn't make sense to make a list of words that you can or you can't use, it's within the context you use them.
I know that even the word dutch has a bad reputation in the english language so I'm still wondering if I have to set the language flag...

So, since my actual post this evening didn't contain nudity, but the link I posted DID (very mild), that means I SHOULDN'T have used the "nudity" flag?? I'm confused.

Gordon

P.S. - I just was banned from a web design forum because my last 'toon showed whales with testicles. This despite the fact that I had appended "nudity" and "adult content" warnings to the post, and all that I posted was a link, NO graphic. You just can't win sometimes.......

You know the one about Eskimos having 50+ words for snow? Turns out someone actually talked with them, and the Innuit only have 2 words; one for snow falling, and 1 for snow on the ground..honest...

Up to you, but unless you have nudity within your post, it's not required.
It would be courteous, however, as I previously mentioned, to append "Nudity at link" to the post or link text.

Ok so we are all supposed too use our own common sense and our own judgement.  Cool I can live with that.

Just one small teeny weeny small problem/question that I see with that.

What happens when a member says something, that is not offensive in their culture, but is in anothers, and they don't flag it?

And then the next thing you know you have someone, who in their culture finds it offensive, running to the moderators too gripe about it?

Their "common sense" wich is based upon the culture you live in, would tell them its ok to use it without a flag.

Do they get warned? Do they get banned? Do they have their post removed, or have a moderator alter it for them?

Without ever being told upfront, that they cannot say this or that with or without a flag?

I mean  its not exactly too fair or ethical too tell someone to use their  own "common sense" and their "own judgement" and then penalize them for doing exactly that.

Okay, well, I rarely have any posts with nudity HERE. They're on my site. So I won't flag posts, but will put a warning near the link. I always do that anyway.

Thanks!

We would just add the tag (if we thought it was offensive - and not just someone taking against the word "knickers" or something) and just let the member know. We'd only get to the warning stage if someone was repeatedly and delibarately misusing the tags.
