Subject: face camera went wonky

mystmaiden ( ) posted Sun, 01 October 2006 at 6:33 AM · edited Mon, 13 January 2025 at 2:47 AM

I was working on a poser model just cruising along and wham..the face camera is all out of whack and all it shows is her feet. I opened a pz file that wasn't like that, checked the settings then went back  and tried to change it, but so far..still feet.  Any suggestions?  Never had this particular problem before.

When you are in face camera view, go to "edit" and "Restore" and click "Restore Camera".

hmm..unfortunately that didn't work. Maybe because I had closed the file in between times?

If you open you .pz3, then restore the face camera and then resave your .pz3 file, when you next open it it should have the face camera correct.

I tried again..still feet. :(   I wonder if there is a way I could save the morphs I'd done and just start over without saving the camera settings..

Are you not able to move the camera view around with the parameter dials?

mystmaiden ( ) posted Mon, 02 October 2006 at 10:36 AM

I can move it around but maybe I'm just not handy enough. I could never get it back to the face view. I tried some other camera sets I had with different face camera views and they show feet too at various angles.

Ok, if you're in poser 6, using the little drop down menu that is found in the upper left of your pose window, switch to "face camera".  Then right click in the pose window and pick "face camera".

Now go to "edit" and "restore" and pick "restore camera".  That should restore your face camera to default position.  You need to resave the .pz3 file for it to be like that when you next open Poser.

When you save a Camera's position to the Cameras library, if you do'nt click the "Select Subset" button, under the Name field, then your actually saving the position of each camera.  And when you use that preset it will then reset each of the cameras., regardless of which is active.

To just save a preset for the camera you are on click the Select Subset button, and make sure only that camera is checked.
