Zip file?? You need to install or copy to runtime directory your files.

Here we go: unzip your file to a directory. You will find a directory called "Runtime" this directory have the basic structure for your files:

Geometries - the objects itself
Textures - the images for the textures
Libraries - where are all your stuff, divided in this way:

Camera - your cameras settings go here (.CM2 files)
Character - persons, hair, cloths and others go here (.CR2 files)
Face - expressions and some morphs here (.FC2 files)
Hair - hair files (.HR2 files)
Hand - hand poses (.HD2 files)
Light - light setups (.LT2 files)
Materials - some surface settings for Poser 5 and latter (.MT5 ou .MT6 files)
Pose - texture settings and poses itself (.PZ2 files)
Props - acessories (.PP2 files)

The next part is where to put this files... well here I use a directory called MyColletion and inside go the basic directories (geometries, textures and libraries), so this is my Runtime directory. You dont need to use a directory with this name, or you can put it in the DazSutdio Content folder. The problem here is when you want to backup your files you need to remember where as these files, so I use one directory for everything.

I hope this can help you now.

If i am understanding this correctly the runtime is divided into 3 folders, Geo, Tex, Lib? within the Lib folder there are many other folders? To get a runtime to run properly all I need to do is unzip the folder, then if they dont get into the proper folders, I need to place everything into the Geo, Tex or Lib folders?

Yes, unzip your file then look at it, so you can put in rigt place. Sometimes when we get free stuff they come only with the files and no folder structure, then you need to know where go the files with that extension.

It needs to go into the right Geometries and textures folders - the thing is, the creator doesn't know where the user will have Poser or DAZ|Studio installed, so the product gives the location of its files starting with the Runtime folder (eg :Runtime:Geoemtries:DAZPeople:blMilMan_M3.obj) and you tell it where to find the Runtime folder(s).

I just un-zip and put the runtime in a folder called DS Stuff, then get DS to find all Poser content. Messy I know, but it seems to work for most things. If you download DAZ original stuff from Daz3D it self installes into the correct place for you :)

If it ain't free, I can't afford it.
