According to y'alls search engine here, I haven't made any posts in the last 45 days in this forum. Now, I know that's not true, and it's fairly easy to substantiate otherwise, as well.
Actually, according to the Search feature, I haven't made any posts at all, and well...yadayadayada...
Which leads me to believe you have a faulty post-counter under my avatar. ;)

And while I'm mentioning my problem with using the obviously-too-advanced-for-me search feature, I'd like to to add that in spite of my attempts to change my avatar, all I can do is delete it, and observe the change afterwards.
Any attempts by my stupid computer to subsequently replace said deleted avatar result in the same one being re-uploded...somehow...mysteriously.
Of course, it's not a problem with Lesser websites, but obviously the forum software here is much more advanced than your typical php bb, considering  it has so much trouble with these existing machines, and prolly too advanced for me, as well.
In spite of that, though, I have to feel it's possible to change my avatar....is it?

OOOPS...........EDIT I use Firefox...I opened this thread in IE7, and lo and behold,  I see my changes now.

On the search are you using the search here in the forums? Or are you referring to the site search?

I just checked and I show 25 posts in the CC forum by you in the last 45 days:)

Uhh...I'm not sure what search I tried...just the one you get when you click on a Username and get presented with options.
Why is it IE will show my new av, but FF won't? I've never had that problem anywhere else. I'm hesitant to dump all my cookies, 'cause I have alot of important stuff stored, which I'd have to look up...passwords, and such.

EDIT:
yeah, click on a Profile (under the av) and select 'view User's Posts, and follow tha link to the search option...which doesn't seem to do anything.

Well I clicked on your "profile" link under your username here by your avatar and it takes me to a page where I can click to "show all this users posts" and it comes up with a bunch. BUT I notice that it defaults to the "older than newer than" option instead of the "posts in the last 45 days" so if you tried to pick a particuliar forum like Community Center but didn't put in any days for newer than older than or didn't change the button to say posts in the last 45 days, it doesn't show anything.

I think I did actually select older than a year and less than 2 days, though. I was looking for a specific post I made, maybe 3 months ago. can't remember the specifics, but I thought at the time I typed it in right.

Hey, you know what, Stacey? I appreciate your help and all, but I managed to finally figure it out for myself.
It seems as though one has to type in the correct information, and then pay attention to the results. IMO, that's kinda misleading for those of us who prefer to be lazy about it, but...whatever.
