Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 07 11:07 am)
If you want proper hair animations you're probably better off using dynamic hair. That's after all what it's made for.
Some had had success clothifying conforming hair and in theory it should work. However, I think you'll be better off, if you need to use conforming hair, to use a hair piece with a lot of morphs and then manually keyframe those. That can be doen with good results, too.
I would show you an example but sadly it's of a nature that isn't allowed here...

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Assuming hair of anything over a brush cut, Animating conforming hair is a lot of hand work, and then the results are not convincing. You are welcome to click on a link to an animation I did nearly 2 years ago when I was agressively investigating this issue.::::: Opera :::::
it would have been worth the work except that the result was not convincing. I only use dynamic hair on animations now. Actually, I am pouring a lot of energy into the hair room over the last two days. Got an update to Universal Skull Cap for V4 from 3Dream and am learning to control hair better now.

I need to figure out a way to animate conforming hair figures and hair objects. I am planning to experiment in the cloth room but I thought Id see if anyone has any ideas, tutorials or know how in this matter.
