Subject: IMPORTANT; IMAGE THEFT

A couple of my images were downloaded from my website by Christiaan Klasema. He removed the watermarks and uploaded to the fotocommunity as his own. There are a number of artists affected. The admin staff have been informed and my images have been removed. I'm still trying to persue the removal of this link:

You may recognise your own artwork here. If so, please contact the support staff at

support@fotocommunity.de

Some of these images still have the artists name visible, whilst others have been crudely removed.

Hi Heather
I was advised about these thefts earlier today as someone thought one of my images was there (I don't think it is) , but there is an image of Black Cats  that seems familiar to me as I am sure I have seen it posted at Rendo, forgive me if I am wrong, but perhaps someone recognises it the link is:

http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/mypics/613255/display/6955650

Have a look, as I say if I am wrong I apologise if not then......
Thansk again

Hi Judi

That link is no longer active but the Black Cats are still in the link I provided above. The staff are doing all they can to remove the images that are not his (I think that's probably a safe 99.99%). The will need to establish that each one is not his own works. It would be helpful if artists are able to identify their work and inform the staff with proof (a link to their own gallery will suffice).

Admin staff have deactivated his account until he removes all images he does not own the copyright to. Hopefully this will now resolve the issue in full.

Sorry to hear this, Missie, but i wouldn't have let him remove your images, it's better to sue this 75 year old granddad ... seems he still doesn't know whats 'his'  Most digital images uploaded have had their ori © removed by this despicable person.

Too bad that this German site still allows him to upload. I would have banned him.

All images that are not his own have now been removed 😄. If your image was there and you did not know it, not to worry, it's gone, hopefully for good.
