Subject: Daz 1.4x won't load, missing DLL, missing C++ 2005, missing sanity..;)

Downloaded the update to Daz Studio (1.4.x). Tried running it. 1st it said that C++ 2005 Visual Basic (I think ). Went to MS and downloaded said program. Tried running that, and it says I have a missing dll (oh..now that's a help..it won't say which one)

My suspicion is that since I'm running Windows 2000 (hey, don't knock it, at least it's stable..;), that Daz Studio is no longer compatible with the OS. Anyone see this?

You also need to upate the Windows installer. I can't recall the exact stpes (there was a discussion on the DAZ forums) but I think a trip to Windows update will do it - certainly it is possible to get D|S 1.4.16.0 running under Win 2K
