My only regret is I already bought all Apollo stuff back in the day.  Still use it, still love it.  But, now that everyone has it maybe I'll get some new clothes for him.  His clothes are the best ever created, but sometimes you just wanna try on something new.

byAnton ( ) posted Sun, 18 March 2007 at 1:32 AM

DOn;t forget to reinstall. Once the clothes cr2's are out you unistall all the old files of mine.

The older clothing will still work on my new files. So you don't need the previous versions.

Channigg at Daz has great luck with MorphMajic. He just had to change the Body dial tags internally to valuePram for the conversion. This was done on a copy. The readme folder contains a new cr2 for any old cloth obj files. Just plug the obj into that cr2 and the scaling will be added.

That's great news... never tested the product before!
I am just wondering why this was not posted with more emphasis given the importance ;-)

mask2 - it's a LONG story, and you don't need to know the details !!!

Just go enjoy the gift Anton has bestowed upon us , cheers

Many thanks Anton - he's absolutely fantastic!! :)

Oh, I was also wondering if you have any plans to create a female figure? (I think I read somewhere that you were once considering creating a Venus Maximus). I'd certainly buy her in a flash! :)

oddboots ( ) posted Sun, 18 March 2007 at 9:30 AM

oops - just finished installing Apollo and am just amazed at the model's quality and versatility! please ignore my silly question above - I had no idea the figure was so customizable! :)

Wot? There was buzz building for weeks, where were you at?

And I give hearty congrats and gratitude for this fantastic figure. My one objection with it was the persistence of facial features, but I'm learning just how powerful and fluid the face room morphs are, and no other figure gave me any real reason to do that. The rest of the body, as well you know, really is an optimal figure.

ClawShrimp ( ) posted Sun, 18 March 2007 at 10:33 PM

I've heard people criticise Apollo's face before for it's persitent features. I can see where they are coming from, given how we're used to dealing with Poser figures, but I think it's just a matter of forgetting how we expect Apollo to react and re-learning from ground zero.

Apollo 'feels' completley differantly to any figure I've used. A few dial turns yield little result, unlike V3, but the flexibility and therefore possibilities are endless!

The Face Room is an incredibly powerful tool. Again, it takes some getting used to, but it is well worth the effort. Using photo references also helps as a truly realistic face comes not from a handful of major changes, but from a great many subtle ones.

If we can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominos will fall like a house of cards...checkmate!

Well, I like him a lot. I just finished a pic with him wearing Arduino's cowboy outfit and it fit pretty good with minor tweaks. I am only having problems with the eyes, but that is experimenting, I'm sure. I set up two seperate Apollo runtimes, Apollo 2005 and 2007. So far all the 2005 clothes and textures and poses work just fine on the new Apollo.

Thanks Anton! Apollo is simply the best male model available for Poser. In fact my experience with it seems to indicate it's the best human model there is.

Fantastic model. Thank you Anton!
