I've read the official blender 2.0 guide, downloaded the .avi tutorial by "the bearded guy", tried to go thru wikipedia blender turoial but still am missing some key steps. Is there anything simpler for a simple minded person?

I'm not sure.  Is there any specific part you are having trouble with?

Thanks for responding, trying to determine how many verts one must have in order to create a face. Making the seam is easy enough. Im trying the 'bioRust' tutorial but the distingushing seam is kinda vague. Wikipedia, Im still working on and the one in Renderosity is - well I need to import a figure from poser I guess and then will try that one.

This all comes from trying to do the tutorial from the blender.org magazine. I'll keep looking until I find something.

Thank you

Michael

In many programs and game engines, everything is based on a triangle mesh, therefore you need 3 vertices to make a triangle, and that triangle is going to have two faces, the front and the back face. From there, you combine triangles to form meshes, and you apply textures to the meshes, even if its only one triangle.

There are two excellent UV unwrapping tutorials here at Renderosity. Check out the Blender3D section in Tutorials.
