Poser Technical F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 04 2:47 am)
Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.
New users are encouraged to read the FAQ sections here and on the Poser forum before asking questions.
Here's the folder path on my system.
C:Program FilesCurious LabsPoser 5RuntimePythonTDMTTDMT_script
The folders and the files they contain should be placed within your Poser Runtime folder to mimic their placement in the zip file. Specifically, a folder named "TDMT" needs to be placed in the "Python" folder inside "Runtime". The script will look for this folder and read and write files from/to the folder while running. The script folder named "TDMT_script" needs to be placed inside the new "TDMT" folder inside RuntimePython.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.
Got it now thanks. I think we're rolling. What I'm looking to do is cull excessive geometry out of the eyelash, ear and inner mouth region and bring down the number of vertices about 50%. Most of the head geometry that the existing morphs cover will remain intact. I have tested it and it does work. Hopefully your script will precisely what I'd like it to do. :O).
"Hopefully your script will precisely what I'd like it to do. :O)."
Your use of the script is really the only one so far for which the process seems to be both fairly easy and 100% successful in tests. JoePublic has used the script (and earlier versions of the same script) to do exactly what you seem to be doing. I hope it works well for you.
And the script would not have gone anywhere without the help of Spanki, svdl, and others -something I just try to point out in every thread about the script.... :-P

The docs seem unclear to me on where exactly to path the various files. I'm using Poser 6.
